Templeton Trail - A Hike Around The Base of Cathedral Rock To Crescent Moon Ranch and Picnic Area.
  

A long one-way trip, but with beautiful views, is taking Templeton trail around the base of Cathedral Rock. The starting point is at Little Horse Parking Lot.
The trail can be divided into five segments.    **Start Hike**

• The first is a short segment taking Bell Rock Pathway. This segment of the trail is an easy hike.  

• The second segment is the HT Trail. It starts just after you pass over a wooden bridge. The trailhead is on the right. 

• The third is Templeton Trail to Cathedral Rock.   This is also an easy segment. You can also exit via Cathedral Rock Parking Lot. 

• The fourth segment starts on the North side of Cathedral Rock is an easy to moderate hike down the south side of Cathedral Rock, along Oak Creak and finally crossing at Oak Creek Crossing to enter Crescent Moon Ranch and Picnic Area. Be sure to bring water shoes and a walking stick to stabilize your crossing. Do not attempt if the water is high. 
  

• The final segment is a hike in the base of Oak Creek Valley. It involves the end of Templeton Trail and a short hike along Baldwin Trail. Finally a path is taken to Oak Creek Crossing
